The Beginning — Understanding the Challenge

When I first joined the Nestlé NewsPage v8 project, the platform was already well-established — used daily by hundreds of field sales representatives across India. But the more I observed, the more I realized how tiring and unintuitive their experience was.

Reps often juggled between multiple screens to complete even simple tasks like checking stock or placing an order. The interface felt dated, the navigation heavy, and the workflows disconnected.

That’s when our goal became clear:

Modernize the experience and make NewsPage feel like a tool that actually supports field reps — not slows them down.

The Discovery — Walking in the User’s Shoes

Instead of jumping straight into design, I spent the first phase understanding the people behind the platform.

To truly design for these users, I needed to live their day. We spoke with field reps, regional managers, and internal trainers, and observed their daily routines.
